Stories from Mission at Creamfields 2017

“70,000 young adults frequent the Creamfields festival over the summer bank holiday each year and this summer was no exception! The only difference this summer was that the Church turned up to lend a hand, provide a listening ear and offer prayer to all those festival revellers who needed ministry! Yes that’s correct! Warrington YFC together with local churches under the banner of ‘We Are The Church’ took residence at this year’s festival to provide 24 hour pastoral support for the length of the proceedings. A great number of festival goers came into our marquee for refreshment. Prayer, a listening ear, bottles of water, advice or a place just to chill were on offer not to mention many great conversations about the gospel.

We feel that God turned up and blessed all those who needed ministry and we saw the Holy Spirit create loads of opportunities as God’s people shared faith and unconditional love over the period of the festival. I’d like to thank all those who sacrificially gave their time and energy (especially those on the night shifts) as they ministered to every person in Jesus name.
If you’d been interested in taking part in ‘We are the Church’ at Creamfields next year in the summer of 2018 then please don’t hesitate to share your interest by emailing: wearethechurchatcreamfields@hotmail.com.”
